As you likely know, the holiday season often brings with it an increase in home burglaries. I’m asking that you take measures this year to protect your home over the holidays by downloading the Top 25 safety tips for your city.
The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office has just published the latest crime data: From January to November 2023, there were 52 residential burglaries in Saratoga. Did you know that there were 130 home burglaries in 2016?
What caused the drop in home break-ins? After Saratoga home burglaries spiked (2x) from 2012-2016, Seema and I organized Neighborhood Watch Programs all over the city. By 2017, there was a nearly 60 percent decrease in break-ins! The Sheriff’s Office sees immense value in these programs.
As your Congressional Representative, we will reduce burglaries in every corner of our district, just like we reduced crime in Saratoga.

Our students loved the ChatGPT class we ran earlier this summer, “Build Innovative AI Applications with ChatGPT.” Based on past feedback, this should be a tremendous learning experience of an emerging technology that is changing the world.

Rishi Kumar’s Generative AI winter break camp offers a basic introduction to AI and data science. Students will learn how Retrieval Augmented Generation can be used in scientific applications and develop their own simple app using Natural Language Processing in Semantic Search.
